Revised IIE Certification Requirements
In addition to completing form, submit all certification documentation to hello@syzygyinstitute.com. This would include any certificates of completion, certifications, and a letter or verification & recommendation from any consultants involved.

IFS-Informed EMDR Certified Therapist - (IIE-CT)
1. EMDR certified (EMDRIA or international equivalent)
2. Completed SYZYGY Steps Two & Three
3. Completed 20 hours of IFS-Informed EMDR Consultation with an IIE-AC
post Syzygy Step Two
10 hours may be group, 10 must be individual
4. Attestation of 100 IFS-Informed EMDR client hours
IFS-Informed EMDR Approved Consultant (IIE-AC)
1. Has met requirements for IIE-CT
2. Syzygy Training Component: Guided at least one time each for Syzygy Step Two & Three (must have attended all staff meetings during these)
3. Coherence Therapy Component: 12 CE of Coherence Therapy/Memory Reconsolidation workshops (prior approval required unless from coherencetherapy.org or therapywisdom.com)
4. IFS Component: IFS Level One Training or Syzygy approved equivalent*
5. Consultation Experience Component: EMDR Approved Consultant, IFS Approved Clinical Consultant, Syzygy Guide 10X, or Completion of 20 IIE-CIT hours with an IIE-AC (this last option must include a Syzygy Trainer Recommendation).
* IFS Component approved equivalents:
1. Completed 20 hours of IFS-only Consultation with an IIE-AC, or IFS-I Approved Clinical Consultant
2. Repeated Syzygy Step One three times (two as a Guide, and must have attended all staff meetings during those) This option must include a Syzygy Trainer Recommendation.
3. Completed Syzygy Expanded Step One (available in 2025) once as a participant and once as a Guide
Syzygy Guide Qualifications
1. As a participant, has completed the Syzygy Step they will guide (For example; Guides must have completed Step Two in order to be a Guide for Step Two). Exception: IFS-I Level One training satisfies this requirement to Guide Syzygy Step One.
2. Recommended by a Syzygy IFS-Informed EMDR Approved Consultant (IIE-AC).
IIE Trainer Qualifications
IFS-Informed EMDR Assistant Trainer (IIE-AT)
1. Has met requirements for IIE-AC
2. Completed Coherence Therapy Intermediate course or 12 hours of training from Coherence Therapy Institute
IFS-Informed EMDR co-Lead Trainer (IIE-CLT)
1. Has met requirements for IIE-AC
2. Has been an IIE-AT for any Syzygy 2-day course
IFS-Informed EMDR Lead Trainer (IIE-LT)
1. Has met requirements for IIE-CC
2. Has been an IIE-CLT for any Syzygy 2-day course
