IFS-Informed EMDR Certification

Recognizing that IFS-Informed EMDR has garnered significant interest within the community of EMDR-trained clinicians and consumers of their services, Syzygy Institute believes that training standards and certification in a systematic and integrated model provides some assurance of quality to those seeking to refer to, or receive, such services.
It is with that commitment that we endeavor to train and certify clinicians, as well as maintain a directory of those trained and certified in our integrated model.
The training, of course, draws from separate models (IFS, EMDR, and Coherence Therapy) and thus supports, through our certification process, specific training and certification in the separate models to promote and maintain mastery and excellence. This is in addition to our coursework and consultation focused on integration, which is our primary objective.

We hope that those who take our trainings find these standards meaningful and worth attaining, so that being an IFS-Informed EMDR provider is more than a trendy catch-phrase and self-proclaimed designation. It will carry the distinction of being one of the highest levels of professional specialization in the field of mental health trauma treatment available.
Certifications are for a two-year period. Re-certification will require additional specified CE hours during this period. Upgrading a certification to a higher certification during the certification period will start a new two year period.
Any lapse or termination of qualifying credentials during your Syzygy certification period must be reported to Syzygy Institute, and will nullify Syzygy certification and any associated privileges as of the date the qualifying credential terminated.
A certification upgrade is when you qualify for a higher certification before your current certification renewal date. It includes a renewal, extending your new certification for a two-year period, saving $50.
Recertification will require 12 hours of some combination of these items:
IFS-Informed EMDR related courses at Syzygy Institute.
IFS-Informed EMDR related courses at emdrifs.com.
Coherence Therapy courses at coherencetherapy.org.
Completing or being a PA for an IFS Level One, Two, or Three Training during your current certification period.
Serving as a Guide for a Syzygy Institute course during your current certification period.
